The Dordogne Valley is a hiking paradise. Here the landscape alternates between the dry stone paths so typical of the Causse, the green and lush valley of the Dordogne or even the hills of Ségala , like a foretaste of the central massif.

For lovers of nature, local fauna and floraalso offer great observation and photography opportunities. Just 15 minutes from the gîtes, the Bonnefont marsh will open the way to biodiversity. Young and old alike can learn to discover the frogs, dragonflies and other butterflies inhabiting this large rose garden. An interpretive trail surveying the reserve on duckboards will offer you a beautiful 2-hour walk.

The geographical location of our lodges also allows you to take advantage of the many outdoor activities that the region offers. From canoe trips on the Dordogne to horseback riding or mountain biking , from swimming in front of the cliffs of Gluges (and its magnificent beach) to hikes in the Ouysse or Alzou valley... you will only have the lots of choice !

At ""Grand Bonheur"" there is also access to the gentle Dordogne in just 15 minutes. Its clear and fresh water will make you enjoy long summer baths on one of the pretty wild beaches.For the more sporty, you can safely descend the river to Souillac and admire the majestic cliffs of Gluges or Pinsac from the water.

For thrill-seekers, caving or climbing is also possible near our area. Families can also enjoy animal parks , such as Gramat, the monkey forest or the Rocher des Aigles , but also botanical gardens , such as the Sothys garden and adventure and leisure parks located in the surrounding area.
